JODY plans trips where getting there is half the fun. Trains, night trains, ferries and, when it’s the honest choice, a flight, with the real time, price and CO₂ of every leg.
Most travel tools race you from A to B and call everything in between a delay. JODY starts from the opposite idea: the in-between is the good part. A border crossed by sea, a night train that turns 1,000 km into one good sleep, the town you only meant to change trains in.
JODY already had a working website. We gave it a new design approach: a brand and visual style that carry the idea, and a redesigned UX and UI for the key views, so the planner is as quick as a flight search but honest about what each choice costs in time, money and CO₂, and never pushes.
Give JODY a start and an end. It lays out a combined route, trains only, buses only and the plane side by side, each with its time, ticket price and CO₂. The trade-off is in plain sight, and the choice stays with the traveller.
Every leg carries its CO₂ per passenger, door to door, flights included, with the source on every number. No countdown timers, no “only 2 seats left”. Plan at your own pace, save it, come back later.
The map and a leg-by-leg timeline work together: add a night in Madrid, drop a change, swap a train for a ferry. Saved trips travel with you, so the whole route is on your phone when you’re on the platform.
JODY’s founder is hands-on and builds the product himself. So we delivered more than pictures: the brand, a design system (forest green on warm paper, one typeface, one set of components) and front-end code for selected screens. That gave him a clear base to implement the rest, and keeps the website, planner and account feeling like one product on desktop and mobile.
